How the fuck did I miss this one…

I’ve always had a crush on Henry Rollins, and Glenn Danzig’s solo band, at least the incarnation of it from the late 80s through the early 90s, is one of my favorite metal bands – back in high school, I taught myself to play the John Christ lead guitar for most of the songs off Danzig II: Lucifuge. So when I heard about this Henry and Glenn Forever comic by Tom Neely, I could only wonder, how did Towleroad get this story three weeks ahead of me??? (no offense to Andy Towle)

Starring super-notorious musclebound punk/metaldudes Glenn Danzig and Henry Rollins (with a little help from super-notorious soft-rockdudes Hall and Oates) Henry & Glenn Forever is a love story to end all love stories! The premise of this Cantankerous Titles-released comic is explained at the front of the zine: “Henry and Glenn are very good 'friends.' They are also 'room mates.' Daryl and John live next door. They are satanists.” What follows is ultra-metal violence and cryfest diary entries, cringing self-doubt and mega-hilarious emo-meltdowns. Who knew Danzig was such a vulnerable, self-conscious sweety-pie? Who knew Rollins was such a caring spouse? Who knew Hall and Oates were so infernally evil—yet so considerate? Well, illustrating/writing team Igloo Tornado (featuring super-awesome comixdude Tom Neely) did and they kicked down 64 fully-illustrated pages with it. Genius on all fronts. Terrifyingly cute. Cutely terrifying. As the real-life Rollins says, quoted on the back cover, “Has Glenn seen this? Trust me, he would not be impressed.”

I don’t even know what to say. I mean, I was never too physically attracted to Danzig, but still… This is like some kind of adolescent dream of mine come true! At sixteen years old, this would have probably blown my closet-gay/stoner mind. My birthday is coming up this week and I’ve been having a rough time with family and work and wanting a new job and a new life, so I’m hoping that if I get nothing else out of it, one of my friends will get this for me and cheer me the fuck up. The one good thing is that I’ve been doing a ridiculous amount of writing and am now 33,000 words into a new manuscript. Anyway, for those readers who don’t know anything about Rollins or Danzig, Here are a few videos.

Here’s the video for Rollins’ Band’s “Liar,” from 1994 and directed by one of my favorite music video directors, Anton Corbijn:

And here’s Glenn Danzig running with wolves!!!!!!!

And his song “Her Black Wings” from the Rick Rubin-produced, 1990 album Danzig II: Lucifuge, which I disturbed my former guitar teacher, who was really catholic, when I started playing it as a young innocent teenage closeted kid. Damn, if they could see me now…

Did You know that Fire Island is the Best Place in the World to worship the Devil..???

baphomet(1) I never noticed that Baphomet had breasts!

I stumbled on a paranormal/ghost/New World Order webpage that had posted this pretty informative article about the south coast of Long Island – Fire Island specifically – and it’s connection with devil worship:

Strong Sunlight Phenomenon and Unique Holly Forest Creates Ideal Place to Celebrate Yule and Worship Lucifer the Holly King.

sun_south_mapFireIsland_show

Because the winter sunlight is so strong here, it is an important spot for witches. Witches believe that Lucifer is the God of the Sun. (http://www.scarletsbookofshadows.freewebspace.com/whats_new.html) and the Sun God is also known as the "Horned God." (http://www.museumofwitchcraft.com/about_mow19.php) Lucifer is also known as the "Angel of Light." Many of the Witch's holy days revolve around the Sun such as the Yule. A big part of their belief system is the concept of the Sun weakening and the world dying, then on the Winter Solstice the Sun God Lucifer is reborn and warms the Earth. The best place in the world perform this demonic ceremony celebrating the birth of Lucifer is of course south shore Suffolk County in the area around the 11782 zip code. This would include Sayville and the Sodomite communities of Cherry Grove and the Fire Island Pines.

In addition to the natural phenomena of the bright sunlight there is also an unsurpassed winter view of the sun in this region of the world. Because the beach faces south it is possible to see the sun not only rise at dawn but set at night. This gives a phenomenal view of the sun.

Furthermore, this place is the site of the world's first modern sodomite community rivaling even Sodom and Gomorrah. There are a series of cities such as Cherry Grove that makes up the purest gay place in the modern world. It's gayness goes back to even before Oscar Wilde went there in the 1880s. Imagine a place where everyone is a homosexual, thousands. It is here that is the greatest place to worship Lucifer in the world. Is this a one in a million coincidence? [emphasis mine]

The article then goes on to give as more evidence of Fire Island being cursed, and this really isn’t a joke, that Melissa Joan Hart (from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains it All) lived in Sayville.

I guess what this all means is that us gays are in on the Illuminati/New World Order thing, and so is Obama and most of the actors who have appeared on the CW, so when the year 2012 happens and Planet X comes back and the lifepulse of the planet speeds up, we’ll all be too busy hanging out at the meatrack worshiping the devil to get our 12-strand DNA and bodies made of light…

Bible Contradictions Quiz Show

As an atheist with weird interests in Jewish and Christian theology, politics, eschatology and all that, I fucking love this:

Of course most American Christians have likely never heard of any of these passages, let alone opened a bible and read any of it themselves (as evident from the reviews when this depressing book came out). The average American evangelical probably knows about as much about the bible as the average teabagger does about the U.S. Constitution.
