I’ve been pretty pleasantly surprised by what I’ve been hearing of the new Kelis album. I had a lot of respect for her in the past, but this turn she’s taking on the new album with all this David Guetta shit is pretty interesting to me. Some of the stuff I’ve heard sounds like it was made specifically for the upcoming Fire Island season, and it’s timed just right. It’s almost as if she’s consciously gearing up to catch the backlash movement that’s formed of gay men who think Lady Gaga is lame and patronizing. If that’s the case, count me in:
