With all the horrible things that happened in the last decade, I think I repressed the memory of this Super Bowl commercial from the year 2000 and the controversy it caused - or maybe that's just a sign of how short-term our memories became and how numb to media controversies we got this decade. Wow, I've heard about this commercial, I thought it was a myth
@Wonder Man, the decade gave us YouTube. Otherwise this would've remained a repressed memory.

And yet, the Republicans stood in the way of stem cell research...that is shameful and unforgivable.
We fell behind in math and science in the last eight years of Bush's dictatorship and it is going to take a major effort to catch up.
Happy new year...it will be better.

To be accurate, it should be said that the policy was against Federal FUNDING of new embryo-sourced stem cells.
Nearly all the useful steam-cell treatments so far have been from adult stem cells.
So it would help if you knew what you were talking about before hyperventilating about dictatorships .. especially since the "dictator" is not even in power. LOL
